Have you ever gotten something that was totally unexpected?
You didn’t do anything special,
But you received a token or kind gesture?
Yesterday my mom brought a bottle of Sorrel.
She said: I got this and you know I can’t drink it, so it’s yours. *it causes pain in her joints*
I said: Where you get dat? 🤩
She responded that her good friend who’s a caterer dropped it; and we know the quality of his work, so it’s bound to be good!😋
I grinned and said: Christmas in August!😁💃🏾
She responded: Blessing by Default.
Me: Ah taking dat!😆🤸🏾♀️
That’s the way God works sometimes…
He delivers on His promises in such amazing & creative ways that leave us in awe.
He blesses others who in turn pour into us;
Not necessarily because we are deserving,
But always because of who we are and who we serve.
I don’t try to understand,
Or discount it’s worth because it wasn’t direct, but rather by chance;
Because I know God doesn’t operate within lines or boundaries like we do;
There is no real formula or method for how He chooses to be who He is.
So I say: Thank You Heavenly Father,
For your grace and divine favour in the big & small things.🙏🏾
Lord, You are so good.
