Farewell to August.
We’re all losing a tiny bit of ourselves;
Our sanity wavering,
Trying to come to terms with ‘the new normal’.

May this new month spare us grief.

We’ve lost so much:
– Valuable time
– Money
– Creation of memories
– Loved ones and real-life superheroes

As we approach the final 4 months of 2020,
I shudder to imagine what’s in store.
Nothing can prepare us for whatever may come;
We’ve been blindsided at every turn.

I have but 1 plea: God help us all!🙏🏾
May we emerge on the other side of this horror movie;
Having survived the worse;
But resilient enough to pick up the pieces;
And rise like a Phoenix from the ashes.
